Ed Cole graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point with a Bachelor of Science in General Engineering.  After graduation, Ed was commissioned and served in the United States Army as an Infantry Officer.  During his service tenure Ed served in a variety of leadership roles and received numerous commendations for performance and service through the rank of Captain.

Upon departure from the active duty military, Ed was recruited and worked in the Defense sector as a Project Manager for Communications-Electronics new equipment development and fielding.  Desiring to get back into more of a leadership role, Ed joined Airborne Express as a Field Services Supervisor and quickly showed his talents and results being promoted to a District Manager position in less than a year. Over the next few years, Ed received several other promotions to larger operations and continued a track record of outstanding performance and achievement. After 3 years of high level performance at Airborne, Ed was recruited to be the head of operations and general manager for a privately held delivery company.  After a relatively short and successful tenure with this private firm, Ed was actively recruited to return to Airborne Express, who would then merge with DHL Express in the United States.  Through continued excellent performance and results, Ed was again given numerous promotions, culminating in the Regional Director of Operations for the metro NY/NJ region.

After DHL decided to make some strategic changes in operations in the United States, Ed decided to leave DHL Express and joined on with a group of Companies owned by a private Equity Firm, Fenway Partners.  Ed assumed the position of Director of Operations for East Coast Warehouse, Safeway Trucking, Gemini Trucking and several other affiliated companies all under the Fenway umbrella.  During his tenure at East Coast, Ed is credited for quickly getting a failing Gemini organization to profitability and then combining and merging trucking operations into Safeway Trucking.  Ed made significant contributions to the bottom line and continues to integrate the companies providing growth and profitability to the entire organization, and doing so with exceptional customer service.

Throughout his entire career, Ed has shown a track record of distinguished performance and leadership.  He has developed and built strong management teams, has driven world class results in fast paced environments, and has always exceeded company goals, objectives and expectations.
